Spalding County 4-H Drill Team

What is a drill team?  It is a “team” that is Safe, has Fun, is Educational and Challenging.  The major goal of the “Drill Team” is to build and strengthen the youth’s character.  Good sportsmanship is essential.  The “Drill Team” is designed to emphasize youth development.  The teams’ emphasis is on the rider and the skills he or she has learned and applied.  The horse is a vehicle used to reflect the knowledge and skills learned by the rider.

 Good Sportsmanship-It is a means for many riders to work together as a team.
